Child Car Seat Notice & Waiver
This page is the official notice and waiver for DRVR’s optional child car seat add-on (+$35). When you request a car seat in the DRVR app or on drvr.limo/bookings and check the acceptance box, you agree to this notice (this version).
This page is part of our Terms of Service. Nothing here waives rights that cannot legally be waived.
Booker acceptance (short form). I request a child car seat (+$35). Matching is limited to drivers who enrolled as carrying a car seat and may take longer (often 20+ minutes); booking 1–2 hours ahead is strongly recommended. I am responsible for selecting an appropriate restraint, inspecting installation, and securing my child. The driver is not a caregiver and is not responsible for placing or harnessing the child.
1. What you are requesting
- An optional +$35 add-on to have a child restraint available for the trip.
- The fee is charged with the trip fare according to the booking flow (app or website).
- The add-on is independent of vehicle class (e.g. Escalade / 7-seat) requests.
2. Matching & timing
- Car-seat trips are offered only to drivers who enrolled in DRVR as carrying a child car seat.
- The eligible pool is smaller, so wait times may be longer — often 20+ minutes for ASAP requests.
- For car-seat trips we strongly recommend booking 1–2 hours ahead when possible.
- DRVR does not guarantee that a seat will be available for every request, time, or location.
3. Caregiver responsibilities
You (or the accompanying adult caregiver) are solely responsible for:
- Choosing a restraint appropriate for the child’s age, weight, and height.
- Inspecting how the seat is installed or attached before departure.
- Placing, harnessing, and securing the child.
- Confirming the child is safely restrained before telling the driver to depart.
4. Driver role (not a caregiver)
- Drivers may confirm a suitable seat is present and assist with installation or attachment only as permitted by law and their practice.
- Drivers are not caregivers and do not place or harness the child.
- Drivers should not start the trip until the caregiver has secured the child and approved departure.
5. Assumption of risk & release
To the fullest extent permitted by law, by requesting the car-seat add-on and accepting this notice you acknowledge that transportation involving child restraints involves inherent risks; that proper selection, installation, and use of the restraint are your caregiver responsibilities; and that Hybrid Arc Inc. / DRVR, the dispatching base, and the driver are not responsible for caregiver decisions about placement or harnessing of the child. You agree to release and hold harmless DRVR, Hybrid Arc Inc., affiliated bases, and the assigned driver from claims arising out of caregiver placement/harnessing decisions or misuse of a restraint, except to the extent caused by that party’s willful misconduct or where liability cannot be limited by law.
6. Driver start-trip acknowledgment
When a trip includes a car-seat request, the driver may be required to confirm before start:
This trip requested a child car seat. Confirm a suitable seat is available, install/attach it as permitted, and do not start until the caregiver has secured the child and approved departure. Drivers are not caregivers and do not place or harness the child.
7. Changes
We may update this notice and bump the waiver version when material terms change. The version accepted at booking is stored with the trip record.
